The slime’s inspiration comes from the 1978 movie Grease.  Grease has to be one of the most iconic movies of all time.  Who wouldn’t want to be part of the Pink Ladies or a member of the T-Birds and drive Greased Lightnin’?

RETRO Retrospect

The musical romantic comedy film Grease hit theaters in 1978.  The adventure of 1950s high school students’ antics, romance, and dealing with the future is always a good plot.  The producers excelled with Grease.  In addition, the comedy’s great dancing, retro costumes, and fantastic music drew in the older crowd for nostalgia and the younger crowd for a fun time.  All generations enjoyed the antics of the T-Birds, the greaser gang who attended Rydell High School.

A favorite scene for many Grease Fans is when Danny shows up in a letterman sweater instead of his beloved leather T-Bird jacket.  At the same time, Sandy shows up in a leather jacket instead of her usual “good girl attire.”  Sandy shocks Danny when she speaks the famous line, “Tell me about it…..stud.”

    This slime is AMAZING!! It smells exactly like leather and transports me back to high school and dating my (now) husband in his leather jacket. The stretch with this slime is limitless, it just keeps going. It does not stain your hands, even though it is extremely pigmented. Creates giant bubbles too, and is super crackly.

    Love Grease!!! This slime was a perfect black color and the scent was spot on. It was so much fun stretching and poking this slime. It has fantastic bubble pops.

    The color is fantastic, you really can see the purple flashes as you play with it. It’s thick, glossy, very holdable and fun to play with. The scent is not quite leather to me, but it’s pretty darn close and I do like it. Sometimes it’s leather, but sometimes there is a hint of a sweet/floral note which isn’t quite leather. I’m amazed that it’s as close as it is! The color does not come off in your hands, which is great.
