RETRO Retrospect

In 1988, Dippin’ Dots were invented by microbiologist Curt Jones. He was actually working in cryogenics and flash-freezing animal food in 1987 when inspiration hit him to freeze ice cream mix and create an ice cream bead. Curt and his wife Kay decided to sell Dippin’ Dots in amusement parks, stadiums, water parks, and shopping centers.

Stopping in at the Dippin ’Dots made a trip to the mall extra fun but if you listened carefully to the music playing in the background you might be tempted to sing along between bites of dots to one of the biggest hits of 1989, Bobby McFerrin’s Don’t Worry, Be Happy.

    This is my favorite cloud crème texture that I’ve ever tried. The scent is amazing as well. They give you a lot of beads but unfortunately they do fall out pretty bad and I had to take each one out that’s why it gets 4 stars.

    This is a very nice cloud creme. The texture did not stick at all and smelled amazing! I love the smiley charm and they included some very cute stickers with one of the retro pencils from the 80’s.

    Normally I’m not a fan of cloud cremes but I love this one. It doesn’t have snow fall out and isn’t hard to stretch. It reminds me of a butter slime just without clay. the scent is really sweet and has a hint of yogurt. It comes with beads to add to the top and ones that are already in the slime which don’t fall out to much : )

    I really like it! I just wish they added a few more beads, and actually the scent smells more like birthday cake to me 🙂 I do think you should get this one if you dont like too many beads in your slime!
