Radio Hayride is a white-glue SnowFizz packed with bingsu beads for layers of crisp crunches, crackles, and sizzles. And this one has something a little special hiding inside: it’s made with our stash of original FloraCraft shredded plastic snow, the OG SnowFizz snow.

FloraCraft no longer manufactures this original snow, but before it disappeared, Retro bought the big boxes and stocked up. Its firmer shredded texture creates that unmistakable old-school SnowFizz crunch that longtime slimers may remember. Add the bingsu beads, and Radio Hayride becomes an extra-crispy, highly textured ASMR experience with plenty of crunch and sizzle.

Scented in Hayride, this fragrance captures the feeling of the countryside with fresh-cut hay at the forefront, softened by sweet balsamic notes and grounded with earthy vetiver and cedarwood. It is fresh, green, woody, and outdoorsy rather than sweet, a scent that smells right at home beside an old barn, a field of hay, and a radio playing somewhere in the distance.

Top it with the included corn sprinkles and hay bale topper, then stretch slowly to enjoy all that OG SnowFizz and bingsu crunch.

RETRO Retrospect

Long before playlists and streaming, Saturday night entertainment could mean gathering around the radio to hear music broadcast live from a stage miles away.

On April 3, 1948, The Louisiana Hayride began its primary run on KWKH radio in Shreveport, Louisiana. Broadcast live from the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, the weekly show became an important stage for rising country, western, rockabilly, and early rock performers.

The Hayride became known as the “Cradle of the Stars” because so many young performers appeared on its stage before becoming household names. Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, George Jones, Faron Young, Webb Pierce, and many others performed on the program. A 19-year-old Elvis Presley joined the Hayride lineup in 1954, years before anyone could simply pull up his music on a phone.

Radio Hayride takes us back to those Saturday nights, the sound of a radio filling the room, country music traveling across the airwaves, and the smell of fresh hay somewhere outside.

We paired that bit of radio history with a fresh hay-inspired fragrance, sunflower add-ins, plenty of bingsu, and something that’s becoming a little piece of slime history itself: our treasured stash of original FloraCraft SnowFizz snow.

Old radio. Old-school SnowFizz. One very crunchy Retro rewind.
